However, many combat sports enthusiasts are not convinced ‘The Problem Child’ will come out on top against Perry. ‘Platinum’ joined the Bare Knuckle Boxing Championship (BKFC) in October 2021, following the expiration of his UFC contract, and is now the face of the promotion. Perry boasts a flawless 4-0 record in BKFC, having triumphed over big names like Luke Rockhold, Eddie Alvarez, and Michael ‘Venom’ Page. An Instagram discussion, hosted by @mmauncensored_, encouraged fans to chime in with their predictions for a possible bare-knuckle fight between Paul and Perry.
Many fans expressed their doubts about Paul, with comments such as “@platinummikeperry ain’t taking no dive like these other clowns on this fake fighting nonsense” and “Don’t bring Jake’s gimmick fights to bare-knuckle.” In addition to his participation in the sport, Paul recently announced that he would be partnering with USA Boxing for the 2024 Paris Olympics. His involvement will not only include helping cover the team’s training and preparations on his social media channels, but also guiding athletes on growing their own brands.
