Draymond Green Unintentionally Shades Jordan Poole: Discussing Warriors Chemistry & Past Struggles

Draymond Green appeared to take a swipe at Jordan Poole after the Golden State Warriors secured a narrow victory over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night. When discussing the Warriors’ chemistry this season compared to last season, Green appeared to prefer the current team, now that Poole has moved on to the Washington Wizards.

During a press conference following the Warriors’ 102-101 win against the Kings, Green was asked about his thoughts on the team’s chemistry this season as opposed to last year. Without hesitation, he favored the 2023-24 team and bluntly referred to last season’s chemistry as “horsesh*t.”

Green went on to describe last year’s experience, saying, “Last year was horsesh*t. It’s hard to come to work. … It’s hard to come to work, not fun.” He then contrasted it with this season, highlighting how the team members seem to enjoy themselves more. Green observed that the players now have a higher level of enthusiasm when they come to the practice facility.

Furthermore, Green noted that the players routinely arrive two to three hours early and stay long after practice, engaging in conversations with their teammates. This camaraderie appears to have contributed to a more positive atmosphere for the Golden State Warriors this season.

It is clear that Draymond Green is relishing the current team dynamic and credits the enhanced chemistry as a key factor in the Warriors’ improved performance. With Poole now in Washington, it will be interesting to see how the team continues to evolve as the season progresses.
