Jeff Teague, a basketball player who had a successful career in the NBA, retired in 2021 after winning the championship with the Milwaukee Bucks. Teague contributed to the team’s success despite being used sparingly during the regular season. Nonetheless, he played in 16 of the Bucks’ playoff games, coming off the bench to help the team secure the title alongside star player Giannis Antetokounmpo, also known as the Greek Freak.
After retiring as a player, Teague decided to give back to his community by coaching the basketball team at Pike High School in Indianapolis, Indiana. This is the same school that Teague attended during his youth, where he excelled in basketball as a four-star recruit in his senior season.
Teague’s NBA career spanned 12 seasons, during which he played for five different teams, including the Bucks. He was a first-round pick in the 2009 NBA Draft, where he was selected by the Atlanta Hawks. Teague played for the Hawks until 2016, achieving considerable success with the team.
During his time in the league, Teague established himself as a valuable player. In the 2015 season, he was named an All-Star, averaging 15.9 points and 7.0 assists per game.
