Kemba Walker’s EuroLeague move shocks NBA fans, Celtics blamed for his decline

Four-time NBA All-Star Kemba Walker is set to showcase his skills in Europe, having signed a contract with AS Monaco Basket. Previously, Walker had played for the Dallas Mavericks but was waived after just nine games on January 23.

Joining the LNB Pro A Defending Champions

AS Monaco announced that Walker will join the LNB Pro A defending champions on a one-year deal. Not only did the team win the LNB Pro A Finals, but they also finished third in the 2022-23 EuroLeague, reaching the competition’s Final Four for the first time in the team’s history.

AS Monaco’s Impressive Season

AS Monaco managed to defeat Victor Wembanyama and Metropolitans 92 in the LNB Pro A Finals, securing a victory in three games. Jordan Lloyd, a former NBA player who participated in 12 games for the Toronto Raptors during the 2018-19 season, was awarded the title of Finals MVP.

The addition of Kemba Walker to AS Monaco Basket is expected to further strengthen the team’s performance, as they look to build upon their recent successes in the LNB Pro A and EuroLeague championships.
