Sebastian Korda recently reminisced about his past and shared an old photo with Andy Murray when they teamed up for doubles at the 2024 Miami Open. During the tournament, Murray secured victories against Matteo Berrettini and Tomas Etcheverry but ultimately fell to Tomas Machac in the fourth round, despite pushing through an ankle injury. Korda, who received a bye in the first round, won against Roberto Bautista Agut but lost to Hubert Hurkacz in the following round.
Murray and Korda also played doubles in Miami, defeating Tallon Griekspoor and Julian Cash before giving a walkover in their second-round match due to Murray’s ankle injury. Korda shared an image from his childhood with Murray, captioning it “Time flies.”
Murray, who has been nursing an injury, spoke to the Daily Mirror about his impending retirement and said, “I am looking forward to the end now, give my best the next few months and get to be at home with my family.” Despite a difficult start to the season, the tennis star noted positive signs in his game and improvements throughout recent tournaments.
