Ayan Broomfield Teases Boyfriend Frances Tiafoe’s Driving Skills with Bishop Bullwinkle’s ‘Hell To Da Naw Naw Naw’ Song

Frances Tiafoe’s partner Ayan Broomfield recently posted a video poking fun at the American tennis star’s driving skills. Tiafoe has just returned from a disappointing run at the 2024 Miami Open, where he was seeded 21st but lost 7-5, 7-6(5) to Christopher O’Connell in the second round.

Broomfield, a former Canadian tennis player, has been with Tiafoe since 2015. The couple frequently shares aspects of their lives on social media. On March 29, Broomfield uploaded a video on her Instagram Story where she humorously commented on Tiafoe’s driving abilities. In the video, Broomfield sits in the passenger seat while Tiafoe drives, with the song “Hell To Da Naw Naw Naw” by Bishop Bullwinkle playing in the background – a popular internet meme often used to express disbelief or disapproval in a lighthearted way.

Tiafoe began the 2024 season with a quarterfinal match at the Hong Kong Open, where he lost 6-4, 6-4 to Shang Juncheng. Despite an early exit at the Australian Open, he managed to reach the Dallas Open’s quarterfinals and the Delray Beach Open’s semifinals.

Frances Tiafoe will face either Australian James Duckworth or a qualifier in an upcoming round-of-16 match at the 2024 U.S. Men’s Clay Court Championship in Houston. Tiafoe is seeded third and has received a bye into the second round of the ATP 250 tournament, which is the only tour-level clay-court event held in the United States. The 26-year-old previously won the title last year, defeating Argentina’s Tomas Martin Etcheverry 7-6(1), 7-6(6), and reached the quarterfinals in 2022, where he lost to fellow American John Isner. Duckworth, ranked world No. 109, will be making his debut at the ATP 250 tournament after a recent round-of-16 loss in a Challenger event in San Luis Potosi. So far, Tiafoe and Duckworth have each won one of the two matches they have previously played against each other.
