Carlos Alcaraz has expressed his happiness at having Real Madrid stars Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo attend his match at the 2023 Madrid Open. The young Spanish tennis player built on his previous win against Emil Ruusuvuori by defeating Grigor Dimitrov in straight sets in the third round on April 30. Alcaraz’s entertaining victory was keenly observed by the Brazilian footballers, who seemed to make the former World No. 1 nervous. Alcaraz is a well-known fan of Real Madrid and has supported the Spanish capital club on numerous occasions.

Seeing giants like them in the stands… I’m so happy that they would come to see my match,” he said. Last year during his Roland Garros campaign in Paris, Alcaraz watched the La Liga champions defeat Liverpool 1-0 and clinch the UEFA Champions League title. In a post-match press conference, Alcaraz revealed that they talked about his performance and the soccer club’s recent results, including their upcoming 2022-23 Champions League semifinal clash against Manchester City.

In addition to Vinicius and Rodrygo, other Real Madrid players like Dani Ceballos and Fede Valverde were also present in the stands to watch Alcaraz’s win against Dimitrov. After the game, the athletes exchanged good luck wishes and discussed upcoming matches for both Real Madrid and Alcaraz.
