Daniil Medvedev has openly shared his feelings about the birth of his daughter Alisa and his anticipation for having more children with his wife Daria. Medvedev and Daria became parents to Alisa in October 2022, and she has since become a familiar face at tennis tournaments. The Russian tennis player recently talked about not yet fully grasping the intricacies of parenthood.
In an interview, the world number four admitted that he did not entirely understand the challenges his own parents faced while raising him and was intrigued to see how a similar situation would unfold in his family with Daria. However, Medvedev did not feel that becoming a father had brought about any drastic changes in his perspective. He also expressed his eagerness to have more children and observe how it would affect their family dynamics.
Despite his wish for more kids, Medvedev also addressed the difficulties of juggling fatherhood and his tennis career. He acknowledged during his Miami Open campaign that his wife has made considerable sacrifices to enable him to see their daughter frequently. This includes traveling with their baby, which he admitted was not an easy task. Currently in Monaco, Medvedev is preparing to begin his claycourt season at the 2024 Monte-Carlo Masters.
