Iga Swiatek Shares Her Career’s Lowest Point: Surprising Revelations from the Tennis Star

World No. 1 Iga Swiatek recently discussed the highest and lowest points of her career so far. Swiatek rose to prominence in 2020 with her first Major win at the French Open, where she defeated Sofia Kenin, and has since achieved multiple successes, including three more Grand Slam titles.

In a recent interview with Tennis365, Iga Swiatek highlighted her 2023 WTA Finals win and year-end World No. 1 ranking as career pinnacles. However, she also mentioned the challenging experience of managing expectations during the Tokyo Olympics, where she lost to Paula Badosa in the second round.

Swiatek had entered the Miami Open hoping to become the second woman, after Steffi Graf, to win the Sunshine Double twice. Despite an impressive start, her run was cut short in the fourth round after losing to Ekaterina Alexandrova. “I just feel disappointed,” Swiatek said, expressing her hope for a better performance in Miami.
