Jaz Agassi Supports Dad Andre’s View on Hitting Rock Bottom to Regain Life Control

Jaz, the daughter of tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf, recently endorsed her father’s statements about how hitting “rock bottom” was a transformative experience for him. Agassi had a highly successful career, with eight Grand Slam titles, a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics, and a world No. 1 ranking. However, his journey was not without challenges.

In his Hall of Fame induction in July 2011, Agassi candidly spoke about hitting “rock bottom,” explaining that it allowed him to reassess and take control of his life. He said it was an opportunity to ask oneself, “Who do I want to be? Am I ready to take ownership of my life?” Agassi described how this ownership helped him climb back to the top of the rankings after falling to World No. 141, and how it allowed him to rediscover his purpose.

Jaz Agassi showed her support for her father’s empowering sentiments by resharing the post featuring his remarks on social media. In his Hall of Fame speech, Agassi also expressed his heartfelt gratitude to tennis for bringing him together with his wife, Steffi Graf, and their two children, Jaden and Jaz. He urged Jaden, Jaz, and all young listeners to take control of their own future and surpass the accomplishments of their parents. Steffi Graf was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2004, with Agassi introducing her at the ceremony.
