Miami Open 2024 Bag Policy: Essential Guide for Spectators on Stadium Permitted Items

The 2024 Miami Open will commence in just a few days, and fans attending the event should be aware of certain rules in place. The tournament is set to start on March 19 at Miami Gardens in Florida, with Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek as the top seeds in their respective draws.

To ensure a smooth and safe experience for all spectators, the Hard Rock Stadium has implemented specific safety policies. The bag policy for the 2024 event is as follows:

Spectators can bring basic items such as keys, makeup, combs, phones, wallets, credit cards, and one sealed water bottle (no larger than 1 liter). Additionally, fans may also carry smartphones, binoculars, and cameras after going through proper security checks.

As for bags, attendees are allowed one clear plastic bag per person, made of vinyl or PVC, and not exceeding 12” by 6” by 12” dimensions. A small bag, approximately the size of a palm, is also allowed. Exceptions will be made for medically necessary items, which must be checked at Gate E, the designated entry for this purpose. Designer and oversized bags purchased at the venue will be tagged but cannot be re-entered after leaving the venue. Laptop bags and backpacks are allowed inside for credentialed sponsors.

Carlos Alcaraz will lead the men’s singles draw at the 2024 Miami Open, following Novak Djokovic’s withdrawal. Other participants include defending champion Daniil Medvedev, Australian Open champion Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Andrey Rublev, and American players Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul.

Iga Swiatek will be headlining the women’s draw, accompanied by the top four-ranked players Aryna Sabalenka, Coco Gauff, and Elena Rybakina. Other notable participants include Naomi Osaka, Jelena Ostapenko, Victoria Azarenka, Caroline Wozniacki, and the returning Simona Halep after her doping ban reduction. Defending champion Petra Kvitova will not participate due to the upcoming birth of her first child, and other absentees include Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Nick Kyrgios, Belinda Bencic, and Karolina Muchova.
