Novak Djokovic Hilariously “Confirms” NBA Move: Showcasing His Basketball Skills

Novak Djokovic recently joked about joining the NBA when asked about it by a fan. The tennis player, who turns 37 next month, is the oldest No. 1 in men’s tennis, surpassing the previous record holder, Roger Federer. Indian tennis star, Rohan Bopanna, has also become the oldest man to reach the top spot in ATP doubles ranking at the age of 44. According to Djokovic, age is just a number, and the only number that matters for them is No. 1.

Djokovic was recently seen enjoying some time away from professional tennis on the NBA courts, making 3-point shots and asking Lebron James about his technique. He currently holds the record for the longest reign in men’s tennis, with 420 weeks as World No. 1. The Serbian first achieved the top spot in the 2011 season and has finished as the World No. 1 a record eight times, surpassing Pete Sampras’ six-time record.

Djokovic is currently playing at the Monte Carlo Masters, marking the beginning of his clay season. He defeated Roman Saifullin in the opening round and Lorenzo Musetti in the Round of 16. Djokovic will next face Australia’s Alex De Minaur.
