Cardona discussed Reigns’ match against his close friend Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39, where Rhodes lost due to Solo Sikoa’s interference. Cardona revealed that he wanted Rhodes to win, as the latter is his friend, but he also appreciates Reigns’ skills in the ring.

Conditions for Cardona’s WWE return
Matt Cardona, who was released from his WWE contract in April 2020 after nearly 14 years with the company, revealed his three conditions for returning to the organization. According to Cardona, the cash and creative aspects must be right, and his partner, Steph De Lander, needs to be part of the deal as well.
Facing Cody Rhodes
Cardona also touched upon the possibility of feuding with Cody Rhodes if he returned to WWE, hinting at potential future storylines and rivalries. Despite their friendship, the former WWE star seemed open to the idea of facing Rhodes in the ring should the opportunity arise.
