Ex-WWE Star Open to Return After 8 Years, Sets Single Condition

Following the conclusion of WWE WrestleMania 39, fans are curious about the possibility of former wrestlers making a surprise return. One such wrestler, Tyrus (formerly known as Brodus Clay), has recently commented on a potential comeback and whether it would make sense in the long term.

Current standing in National Wrestling Alliance

At the age of 50, Tyrus is currently a significant player in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), holding the title of NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. He is set to defend this title on April 7 against Chris Adonis at the NWA 312 event.

One-off return to WWE

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Tyrus mentioned that he would not be opposed to a one-off return to WWE. However, he ruled out the possibility of a long-term run with the company, citing scheduling constraints due to his work with Fox News and emphasizing that WWE does not offer part-time jobs.

Reflecting on WWE tenure and future with NWA

Tyrus’ previous tenure with WWE ended in June 2014 when he was released from his contract. Nearly a decade later, he envisions his future in professional wrestling as being with NWA. The wrestler expressed pride in what he achieved during his time with WWE and acknowledged that, although he would enjoy a brief return to the company, his primary focus remains with NWA.
