In recent events, former AEW star Joey Janela and former WWE star Real1 (fka Enzo Amore) were spotted settling their differences at the New York Giants’ draft party at MetLife Stadium after a long-standing heat between the two. The heat between the wrestlers began in 2019 during a Blink-182 concert, in which an altercation occurred between the two.
Joey Janela and Real1 Make Amends at MetLife Stadium
According to Fightful Select, both Janela and Real1 met at the New York Giants’ draft party at MetLife Stadium, where they had mutual friends. Real1 approached Janela’s table, and they shook hands, squashing their issues. Real1 also thanked Janela for ending his issues with Big Bill/Big Cass. Janela later posted a photo of the two shaking hands on social media, signifying that they had put their differences aside.
Janela’s AEW and Independent Wrestler Career
Joey Janela first joined AEW in 2019 and was with the company for three years before allowing his contract to expire in May 2022. Although he is currently working with DDT Pro-Wrestling and has expressed no intentions to return to AEW anytime soon, he also seems uninterested in joining WWE. In response to a fan’s question on Twitter about whether he would ever join NXT, Janela surprisingly stated that he would likely work with Xtreme Pro Wrestling (XPW).
Would Janela Ever Sign with WWE?
As one of the most sought-after stars on the independent circuit, it is possible that Janela could catch the eye of Triple H and other WWE officials, and perhaps someday make his way into the world of WWE. However, at this time, it remains uncertain whether Janela has any intentions of joining the largest wrestling promotion.
