WWE Superstar LA Knight recently had a confrontation with the newly drafted SmackDown tag team, The Street Profits. The 40-year-old star has experienced a surge in popularity due to his return to the LA Knight gimmick, racking up several wins since WrestleMania 39 and becoming an early favorite for the Money in The Bank briefcase later this year.
Encounter with The Street Profits
During a backstage interview with WWE correspondent Megan Morant on SmackDown LowDown, The Street Profits were interrupted by LA Knight. The Megastar criticized Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins for merely talking about other tag teams instead of participating in matches.
Heated exchange and challenge
Ford and Dawkins quickly responded to Knight, telling him to stay out of their business. Knight, who had been feuding with the duo for some time, confidently asserted he could beat them with any partner. Rick Boogs soon stepped up, resulting in an official match scheduled for next week between The Street Profits and the unlikely pair of Knight and Boogs.
Anticipation for LA Knight’s return
Although LA Knight was not present on SmackDown this week, his fans are eagerly awaiting his return to weekly TV tapings on the blue brand. Are you excited to see LA Knight in action? Let us know in the comments section below.
