The Latino World Order (LWO), a faction originally formed by the late Eddie Guerrero, has been re-established in WWE and is now led by Rey Mysterio. Their first match took place on SmackDown, after WrestleMania 39.
New Name for Legado Del Fantasma
SmackDown featured a tag team match between Judgment Day (Damian Priest and Dominik) against Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar. Escobar and the rest of Legado Del Fantasma have now adopted the name Latino World Order (LWO). The group, which also includes Joaquin Wilde, Cruz Del Toro, and Zelina Vega, wore the LWO colors during the tag team showdown. Zelina was particularly pleased to be part of the group.
First Match Outcome
The LWO faced Judgment Day in their first match together but came up short. Priest managed to throw Mysterio outside and targeted Escobar, who had Dominik on his shoulders. Priest then executed his signature choke-slam bomb, securing the victory for his team.
Possible Future WWE Showdowns
In another incident during the match, Zelina Vega executed a hurricanrana on Rhea Ripley outside the ring. Vega’s continued taunting of the champion may suggest that the two will face off at the upcoming WWE Backlash Premium Live Event in Puerto Rico. It is likely that this won’t be the last time Judgment Day and the newly reformed LWO confront each other.
