WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley recently shared her experience of going on a Valentine’s Day date with Dominik Mysterio. The on-screen WWE couple found themselves in an awkward situation when Dominik’s parents unexpectedly appeared at their table. In a recent interview with Wrestling with Rosenberg, Ripley recalled the memorable date and shared her thoughts on working with Mysterio in their WWE storyline.
The Valentine’s Day date incident
Last February, Dominik and Ripley went on a Valentine’s Day date, which took an unexpected turn when Dominik’s parents showed up at their table. Although the couple managed to kick them out, “Prison Dom” fled the restaurant when a couple of cops entered, leaving Ripley to pay the check. Ripley found the whole experience hilarious, and despite the challenges, she believed they were in the right since Rey Mysterio had stolen their table.
Ripley’s relationship with Mysterio before working together
During the same interview, Ripley spoke about her relationship with Dominik Mysterio before they began working together in their current WWE storyline. She revealed that they barely spoke or knew each other, only having a working relationship and exchanging pleasantries. Their storyline has seen Dominik turn heel, attack his father Rey Mysterio and Edge at Clash at the Castle, and join The Judgment Day group.
Ripley’s confession of “love” for a fellow wrestler
