WWE superstar Roman Reigns has already made appearances in Hollywood as Mateo in “Fast & Furious: Hobbs and Shaw” and Gary in “The Wrong Missy”, but has not yet taken on a major role. Recent rumors suggest that Reigns may be considering a hiatus from wrestling to pursue acting opportunities and possibly transition to Hollywood full-time.
Shifting Focus to Hollywood?
Reigns has mentioned that acting will be the “next logical step” after WWE, but for now, he remains focused on his wrestling career. Triple H reportedly has big plans for Reigns’ historic Undisputed Title reign and the ongoing Bloodline storyline. With the wrestler expected to remain a champion through next year and possibly beyond, WWE is looking to develop a hero or icon capable of taking him down and allowing him to pass the mantle.
A Possible Acting Opportunity?
Despite the wrestler’s focus on his current career, WWE CEO Nick Khan has revealed that the company is working on developing Roman Reigns’ character in a way that would naturally enable him to “cross over” into the film industry. With Reigns briefly unavailable this summer, there may be an opportunity for him to take on a supporting role in an upcoming movie.
Upcoming WWE Match
As for Reigns’ next match in WWE, he is set to team up with Solo Sikoa for a tag team match at Night of Champions, where they will face off against Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens for the Undisputed Tag Team Championships. This will mark Reigns’ first tag team match since last year when he fought alongside Zayn against John Cena and Owens.
