Shane had asked if Hogan had one more match left in him, to which Hogan responded he would need more work on his back before considering it. Hogan mentioned they could potentially discuss the match next year.
McMahon faces The Miz at WrestleMania 39
Shane McMahon made a surprise return at WrestleMania 39, where he faced former WWE Champion The Miz in an impromptu match. McMahon suffered a torn quad during the match and was taken backstage, while The Miz went on to lose to rapper Snoop Dogg in under three minutes. A match between Hogan, who is almost 70 years old, and a 53-year-old McMahon could have been disastrous, so it’s likely a good thing that Hogan declined the offer.

Shane McMahon has been recovering well from his quad injury, occasionally sharing updates on his progress through his official Instagram account. It remains to be seen if he will make a return to the ring once he is fully healed.
