Stone Cold Steve Austin may no longer be working full-time in WWE, but he is still very much aware of the talents leading the current generation. One WWE star that Austin is familiar with is Kevin Owens, whom he faced off against last year in the main event of WrestleMania 38 Night One. The Texas Rattlesnake recently praised Owens in an interview with WrestleRant.

During the interview, Austin recapped his mania match with Owens and praised him. “I did the best I could in short notice to get ready for KO, I barely did anything. This would have been a really competitive match. Kevin Owens, for whatever people think about him, first of all, he’s an amazing worker, he’s an amazing talker and he’s in amazing shape.”

In 2022, Kevin Owens continued his Mania success. Earlier this month, he and Sami Zayn defeated The Usos to become the new Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions.
Austin’s Potential Opponents
Although Stone Cold Steve Austin did not compete at WrestleMania 39, fans are still clamoring for him to compete inside the squared circle once again. Vince Russo, a former WWE head writer, said in an interview with Sportskeeda’s The Wrestling Outlaws that he would love to see Austin go one-on-one with Brock Lesnar. Regardless of who Austin might face in the future, his legacy as a WWE superstar remains intact.
