WWE Survivor Series last year introduced the WarGames match to the main roster. According to recent reports, this year’s event will focus on faction warfare. The traditional five versus five, brand versus brand match has been replaced with the WarGames match, which has been popular in NXT.
Faction warfare theme
Triple H, who took over creative from Vince McMahon last year, aims to put his spin on WWE events. Sources from Xero News reveal that WWE is planning faction warfare for this year’s Survivor Series. Fans can expect top factions like The Bloodline and Imperium to take part in the event.
Roman Reigns to work Survivor Series
For the past few years, Roman Reigns has been at the top of the WWE, dominating as the Universal Champion. After defending his belt against numerous challengers, Reigns has decided to work fewer dates. He has only made two appearances since his WrestleMania 39 victory against Cody Rhodes. Xero News reports that Reigns will continue working minimal dates following SummerSlam.
Returning to a prominent schedule
Roman Reigns is expected to work in Saudi Arabia in October, and there are early plans for him to participate in Survivor Series. He will then return to a more prominent schedule during the Road to WrestleMania next year. With Reigns soon reaching 1000 days as the Universal Champion, it will be intriguing to see WWE’s plans for The Tribal Chief moving forward.
