Giulia, a renowned Japanese wrestler, has been making waves in the wrestling world. Her recent visit to the United States included attending WrestleMania XL weekend in Philadelphia and making a special guest appearance on NXT Stand & Deliver, where she was featured on television alongside William Regal. According to the latest buzz, Giulia has inked a deal with NXT and is poised to start her journey with them soon.
Aside from her NXT appearance, Giulia has been busy with promotional activities for Rossy Ogawa’s new wrestling promotion, Dream Star Fighting Marigold. After her contract with Stardom came to an end, she wrestled her final match for the promotion on April 12, teaming up with Syuri against Hanan and Mayu Iwatani in a bout that concluded in a draw after a 20-minute showdown. Taking to her official X account, Giulia expressed her relief at being able to rest at home, marking her first day off in the month of April with a translated message that read, “Today is my first day off in a while! My first day off this month! Seriously good morning.”
Giulia’s wrestling career took off in 2017 with the Ice Ribbon brand and other independent circuits in Japan. By 2019, she had signed with World Wonder Ring Stardom and quickly rose to prominence as one of the top female wrestlers globally. Her contract status became a hot topic of discussion this year, with major wrestling promotions like AEW and WWE showing interest. Her NXT appearance has added weight to the speculation that she will be debuting with WWE later in the year.
Fightful’s Corey Brennan reports that Giulia is expected to join the WWE Performance Center sometime between June and July. There are no intentions to alter her ring name, and her debut is likely set for NXT Heatwave.
